I thought yoga would be enough to keep me strong and flexible, but it wasn’t until I worked with Misty that I realized just how much strength training I needed to continue practicing yoga safely and in alignment. Having injured my rotator cuff a few years ago (too many chattarungas without the proper lats, traps, pectoralis, and rhomboid strength), I needed to practice with a skilled movement professional who knows the body well. Misty met my needs and taught with such clear instruction, giving me alignment cues that allowed me to feel the muscles that we were working on. My core got stronger after a few sessions with her and I felt more evenly balanced among all my muscle groups after a month.
